The  highly acclaimed Brookfield Trail System has over 130 miles of horse  trails set throughout three state forests (Charles Baker State Forest,  Brookfield Railroad State Forest, and Beaver Creek State Forest). These  three forests collectively provide 13,750 acres of public reforestation  lands for multiple recreation purposes. Madison County Fairgrounds  provide Campsites with full hookups, bathrooms, showers, 3 horse barns  with box stalls, outdoor arena, dining hall and more. 

NOTE: When stalls are sold out you can still bring your own paddocks  and the wait list will be open. If this is the case, please email  fallride@nyhc.org to get on stall wait list or select wait list in the  stall section of online registration.

Activities may include: Social Happy Hours (drinks included), Poker  Run, Weigh In Your Horse, Jar Wars, Benefit Auction, Door Prizes, Bon  Fires, and plenty of riding or carriage driving at your leisure on the  beautiful and picturesque Horse or Truck Trails.

You must be registered to attend and participate at this event.

This event gives riders the opportunity to set goals, measure progress, gain confidence, expose their horse to new things, and compete. 

The Obstacle Challenge is about having fun, building confidence, promoting good horsemanship and challenging horse and rider to new levels.

Our challenges include 2 courses for beginner and advanced riders.  Each course offers timed and just for fun classes.  

$20 per class for active UCHC members.

$25 per class for non members.
